CityLab High School    Aug 2022 - Present  

Teaching all high school art classes (Art I, Art II) and starting AP Drawing fall 2023 for 9-12 graders. Focused on drawing fundamentals, beginning painting, print-making, paper-making, 3D works in cardboard & clay as well as integrating art history the works of contemporary artists. Sponsored Art & Building Beautification Club and Photography Club.

Benjamin Franklin International Exploratory Academy    Aug 2019 - 2022  

Teaching 7th and 8th graders IB art curriculum - between 20-32 students per class. Focusing on drawing (still lives, contour line, accurate facial proportions), painting (color theory, watercolor and tempra) as well as all the fundamentals for growing young artists as problem solvers, divergent thinkers and idea generators.

ST. BARTOLOMEW’S ANGLICAN CHURCH      Feb 2017 - Mar 2020 

Instructing groups of students (10-18 per class) in age appropriate worship experiences focusing on dynamic storytelling using Montessori methods as well as creative response using a variety of mediums. Planned and facilitated art projects during the Advent season engaging our more kinesthetic and visual learners. Success is evoking a sense of wonder, to fascinate and intrigue the students into deeper learning.

Publications Coordinator

CRYSTAL CHARITY BALL     Jun 2009 - Dec 2014  

Initiated and lead the entire rebranding of the organization. Worked on self-appointed timelines to create all print collateral for events ranging from 100 - 2,000 attendees, fostered collaborative relationships with multiple vendors, and designed and maintained the web presence.

Worked with high school and middle school students during summers in various capacities building relationships through meaningful dialogue, intentional questions and shared humor. Mentoring and befriending those with special needs is an ongoing passion - seeing beauty and infinite worth in all people of all abilities.
